It's About Us 2006

During 2006, Launceston played host to a range of events and projects that reflected its people and place in Australia and the development of Tasmania. 2006 was chosen as the year for the people of Launceston to re-discover our past, embrace our differences and shape our future in a celebration of our community called It’s About Us 2006.

That no-one is homeless. That there is no racism. I want to be a teacher. I also want to be a hairdresser. That everyone has lots of friends. There are no hurricanes or tornadoes. I want to go to college and university. I want to go in the Commonwealth Games. That everyone has a family and friends. That everyone has a right to feel safe. No more pollution. I want to go to the Bahamas. That everyone has a career. Renee (4/5 Glen Dhu)
