Tree of Hope: 5 years on!

In 2006 over 1000 children from the Launceston area participated in the Tree of Hope Project.  Maybe this was you or someone you know? The project was such a success that now, 5 years on, we are conducting a follow up study!

Did you participate in the original Tree of Hope Project in 2006?

We are trying to locate students from the original project who are interested in joining us for this follow-up study.

Over the next few months we will hold a series of small-group discussions and multi-media, activity-based workshops with young people at a number of locations. These will provide a fun and worthwhile opportunity to discuss your ideas and hopes for yourself, the community and the world.

Are you interested in participating in Tree of Hope: 5 years on?

The University of Tasmania and the Launceston City Council have worked together to give primary school children in Launceston the opportunity to celebrate their hopes and dreams for the future.

On this page you will find information about the project, a report of the exhibition we held at Inveresk, and samples of children's work.

We will continue updating the site with news and additional links and activities for children, parents and schools.  Enjoy browsing the site.  We would love to get your feedback on the project, send us an email
